The Bayfield Inn

I stopped in to grab dinner. I was early and had no problem getting a table. The server was quick to come over and get my drink order. I had the blackened whitefish with mixed vegetables and garlic potatoes. It was really delicious! The meal comes with a side salad that was fresh and very tasty with cranberries and nuts on top. The hot roll was very yummy. The brand old fashioned was super good. Server was very kind and engaged in some small talk with me. I loved the food and the ambiance. I want to return when their rooftop patio is open. I bet it is fabulous sitting there watching the sunset. Cute location. Highly recommend.

Enjoyable place to stay, if possible get a lakeview. Room was clean. Breakfast only meal ate at hotel which was delicious. Coffee tasty. Only tip is that I recommend that you put a towel in the tub prior to showering - there were no safety mat in tub and in my room a safety bar was outside the tub area near the shower head. This was room 101.

We stayed here two nights in late August, and we really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are very clean and nicely appointed and of moderate size. The two restaurant choices (rooftop or inside dining) added to the experience, and the view from our room of Lake Superior was awesome. We would definitely stay here again on a return trip.

The rooms are updated and modern with great overlooks of the lake. Literally, just one block from the water - you can get no closer. The restaurant is great, too. The inside restaurant has big windows allowing one to watch the waves while eating breakfast - try the stuffed French toast, it's to die for. The patio is amazing for a libation or two in the evening. Great place, great food in an awesome little town by the lake.
