Thanida Thai Restaurant and Bar

My first time at Thanida Thai at the new location and I loved it! This has been one of my favorite spots in Alexandria, VA for Thai food for many years. New renovated location is fresh, clean with modern twist on Thai aesthetics. Top it with great service and very pleasant atmosphere! The food is still fantastic, as I remember. Some of my favourites are Tod Mun, Panang Curry and Fried rice, of course! Have some Thai iced tea and you are in heaven! Already looking forward to come back here soon!

The vibe is fantastic, the space is beautiful, thoughtfully designed, and strikes a great balance between elegant and casual. The food is delicious and beautifully presented, clearly made with care and attention to detail. I would definitely come back. That said, I wish the physical menus and drink list reflected the same level of quality as the food and overall restaurant experience. The menus feel worn and overly plastic-covered, and the cocktails lean more toward a touristy beach dive bar than the refined atmosphere the restaurant otherwise delivers.

Absolutely amazing Thai food! Every dish was bursting with authentic flavors and perfectly balanced spices. The ingredients tasted fresh, the presentation was beautiful, and the aromas alone made the experience unforgettable. The service was friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from start to finish. Whether you love classic Thai dishes or want to try something new, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

This is my new favorite HH spot! It is hard to find great food and drinks for a good price. My favorite are the crab rangoons, little pockets perfectly cooked with a delicious filling and sauce. The curry puffs are really nice and the wings are small but very tasty. The star for me was the Lycheetini they have on HH. For only $9 you get a perfectly made large drink. We also got the larb gai off of the dinner menu which was very tasty too. The location is also stellar with a quick walk to the metro and a parking garage next door. They also have a cute patio. Highly recommend checking them out!

Their previous location was my favorite Thai restaurant, and the new location doesn't disappoint. Some food is spicier than I remember or is advertised, but still tasty. And the prices are somewhat higher, but that's what two years of inflation does. Still has generously poured cocktails, and not a bad price during happy hour! And the mango sticky rice is divine.
