Tax Nerd CPA

We moved to Tax Nerd after speaking to our financial advisor. The Tax Nerd team has been a total game changer for our personal and LLC taxes. They found us thousands in savings through proactive and engaged conversations. They gave us strategic reccomendations about the future years and are now reviewing the years prior when we did not use them. We cannot recommed this team enough! They are thoughtful, engaged, proactive and responsive.

I paid Meghan around $2,800.00 to do my personal tax returns. Two years ago. Still haven’t gotten my returns. Then the irs reached out to me asking me for more forms and questions, I’m guessing because my tax returns weren’t done properly. I then called her and explained my issue. To which she offered no help at all and left me to fend for myself. Very bad experience. Don’t get me started on my businesses tax returns. They were charging me $450 a month to handle accounting. They’re not friendly to small businesses or really people at all. The first meeting was good, but once you sign the paperwork it’s down hill from there. They are extremely rude to you. I do not recommend this business at all. I am a small business who, as of this writing, is still trying to get them to complete my filing. Both my bookkeeper and myself have provided them with all necessary information on multiple occasions. At this point I have had to call, email and stop in person throughout the year to give them information they had already been sent. They have gone from "as soon as we have this, it will be done", to vague timelines like "in the next two weeks" to "its in review" (for months apparently). When I previously met with Meghan, she didn't have clear answers for most of my questions, and frankly seemed bothered that I had questions. I have never had to wait for 9 months to have my taxes filed. At this point, it has served to do nothing but stall my operations.

If you’re looking for a new CPA, look elsewhere. Especially if you’re a small business that needs help understanding the tax preparation process. Meghan didn’t have the patience to work with me and was obviously annoyed when I asked questions. I feel like if you’re going to be in the profession of taxes, you really do need some sort of customer service/patience for explaining, but I did not receive that. There’s better options out there to support!

Have been using Meghan/Tax Nerd for the last 3 or 4 years and will be submitting this year's paperwork soon. Can't recommend enough!
