Tavern On the Lock

Lunch: Food was okay. Southwest salad was pretty good. Bread was good. But they don’t seem to refrigerate their ranch, it was room temp and sour tasting. Food took a while to get. Which I wouldn’t mind usually but the restaurant was empty. Super quiet and awkward in there. Our waitress was sweet though 💕

If your questioning trying this place don’t they are nothing like you are used to. You have found a hidden gem if you eat there. I have been in food industry years ago and feel that I have seen it all but these guys are 100% real deal. From the person seating you to the outstanding waitress. They come together like a true team. They also have one of the best salad bars I have been to in quite sometime. The homemade bread is perfect! My wife and I went here with our daughter and everything could not have been any better. We drive from 20 minutes away and will continue.

Prices are super reasonable. We got mozzarella sticks, a chicken quesadilla, and the surf n turf burger. I just had a coke, and she had a mixed wine slushy. It was all good! We were happy to have the entire dining room to ourselves for the whole time we were there. We thought it was odd, but the server informed us everyone else chose to eat outside. If I were to give any cons, the place could definitely use a refresh. It's clean, but quite old inside. Minor nitpick, though. I understand how expensive renovations can be.

Wonderful restaurant! View of the Oswego river canal system, Barge canal lock number 3 from our table. Easy parking, friendly attentive staff, delicious food. Great find, looking forward to going back and trying more items on the menu.
