Dawn's Diner Palermo NY

First time trying Dawn's Diner out and it was delicious! Husband got the breakfast burrito, which was huge and he couldn't finish. I got eggs, toast, potatoes. Those potatoes, oh my goodness. I could have just eaten a plate and a half of those, that's how good they were! It was really nice inside and the staff were very nice and helpful. We will definitely be back to try their lunch menu next time

good size portions, not a lot of people so its quiet. humble little place. reasonable cost. over all best place ive been in oswego county

[Edit: updated review to 4 stars since trying more menu items. Fried chicken is excellent and a good value. No matter what others may say this place has the lowest prices around for well cooked food.] Food is good and very inexpensive ($6 for a 5 ingredient omelet). Servers are pleasant and generous with the coffee. Not the best around but pretty decent for the low prices.

I'm giving two stars only because our waitress was a nice girl but other than that it was hands down the most disgusting breakfast food I have ever been served. Do not recommend and will not be back.

Loved the small diner atmosphere. Lots of charm, locals, and peaceful. Service was....well, she was new to the service industry, and she tried hard. That is all you could ask for with someone new. Left a 32 percent tip anyway. Biscuits "not fresh" and gravy was cold, had to ask to send it back. Can't have cold gravy. The special was a bacon omelet and was really was overcooked, The omelet did not have fresh bacon but bacon bits from a bag. Not tasteful. The strip bacon was perfect. Thick slices. Not grandpa crispy and not European soft. It's really good. Coffee was on point. Wish they had lemons for the ice water. Orange juice was from concentrat, yuck so.... All in all, I would not go back, but it was nice to try a new place.
