The Harvard Square branch of the most famous brunch chain in the Boston area is always packed. Because it's a instagram-y spot, my expectations weren't high; mainly, I felt it would be impolite not to try it. Roasted Salmon Winter Vegetable Rice Bowl: The first bite was good, but the more I ate, the worse it became. The eggplant, after being stir-fried until soft, was quite fragrant, but the rice was rather broken, the bottom part was extremely greasy, and the salmon felt out of place. In a way, I understand Uncle Roger's anger towards white-style fried rice… Honey Halva Latte: The menu more prominently features "House Latte." The honey and Halva brittle were completely masked by an overwhelming amount of cinnamon. I don't understand why they used paper napkins to wrap the cutlery and
It is now a classic, and a franchise. It keeps the high quality of pastries and coffees it had when it was a stand alone store. Really terrific Israel meets American pastries, with use of sesame seed, various nuts, halva and other delicacies. It is a must try if you are visiting Harvard Square or you are one of many locals that come here every day
Awesome stop! Mauricio was very friendly, answered all of our questions, and was quick. Got our order 100% accurate. You Gotta come here if you’re close to Harvard. CLEAN, FRIENDLY, LITE, AND DELICIOUS. We were with a group of 16 and ordered several different things to try. My favorite was the Ham and cheese Croissant. Lite & fluffy. Full of flavor(I’m sure j don’t want to look at macros.. 😂). Lemon poppy seed cake was moist and perfect.
Relatively quick service. Food was delish - we got the lamb with hash plus the shakshuka with lamb. If you like something on the light side, go for lamb with hash. Or if you like something on the acidic or heavier side, go for the shakshuka. Wouldn't recommend the refresher (mango and ginger) as i feel like the mango was not fresh. Overall, very nice place to eat. Just a little lack of seating.
This cafe always pack with customer. They serve various pastries and meals. Very good place. They also serve coffee. The one that i ordered americano is not as good as it lookes. It airy.
