Moona - Central Square

I have been to the Inman location and now the Central square location. The space is definitely very nicely renovated and the decor is very nice and spacious in this location given the larger square footage. The food is delicious. We have tried a variety of small plates. Favorites are the mushroom hummus, the sofra lamb shanks which is a larger plate for the table, the grilled squid, and the duck. I liked the date dessert special the other night with chocolate gelato. The baklava was not to my taste I like it very crispy and this one was soft. Same with the lemon dessert as it had a lot of rose water and was not as much to my taste. On the two occasions I was here we had no issues with serving spoons the first time but the second time we had 8 people and the dishes would come out without a

Incredible! The space is gorgeous. The cocktails were so good, the Fezcal might be one of my favorite I've ever had. The food was flavorful, we were all absolutely stuffed by the end but had to get dessert and SO glad we did. The chocolate custard was unreal. The staff were attentive and patient with all of our questions. Highly recommend! ALSO they have a QR code on the menu that brings you to a sort of glossary of different ingredients on the menu which was really cool (especially for picky eaters like me)

Such a great restaurant. Amazing atmosphere and incredible service. Mariana was waiting on us and they did just an amazing service. Super friendly, providing excellent menu items descriptions and helping with choices. Food is incredibly delicious. My favorite item was a mushroom hummus, I almost swallowed my own tongue! Their homemade signature cocktailIs are so good. I highly recommend this place.

Everything here is delicious. The service is also incredible. The lamb with pomegranate sauce just fell off the bone. It was practically as soft as salmon. The pita was hot, slightly chewy, delicious. The Muhallabieh had a spice mix that was just so effervescent on the tongue that I’m still thinking about it. Our waiter, Mariana, was extremely helpful and understanding. Our table had 8 people, 7 keeping kosher, one of which had celiac, and the remaining six split between people eating dairy and people eating meat. My wife is also pregnant. Mariana and the staff—including the manager—handled the with aplomb and took everyone’s concerns seriously. Did I mention the drinks? All stellar. My wife and I can’t wait to go back. Absolutely delicious! We loved the menu at the new Moona—from the hot pepper labneh to the smashed cucumber fattoush, from the baba ganouj to the chicken msakhan, from the date mamoul to the lemon mouhalabieh. Every dish was inspired! We loved our intimate corner and the thoughtful design that creates smaller sections in a nod to the original Moona in Inman Sq. Friendly staff who know the menu well and give great suggestions on pairings. Thrilled it’s walking distance from our home!
