Tasty Gourmet

So grateful to my friend for introducing me to this spot. They regularly come here for delicious, affordable, and authentic Cantonese food. Recently came to celebrate Lunar New Year and everything we got was absolutely delicious and we all had left overs to enjoy the next day. We ordered the west lake beef soup, ribs garlic sauce, duck chow mein, beef string bean, and fried sesame seed balls. The soup was light and flavorful, the ribs were juicy and had perfectly crispy skin, the string beans were fresh, the chow mein was not overly greasy, and the sesame balls we’re super hot and tasty. The staff were also super nice and helpful. Will definitely come back.

One the best and friendliest Chinese restaurants we've been to. The waitresses were so kind welcoming us in and serving our soups. They genuinely care about their customers and made us feel really comfortable. The food was perfect and designed like family style with sizeable portions. Thank you!

This place is a hidden treasure. Great for take out food but we ate in the restaurant. The person attending us was so caring. The food is delicious and the serving size is a great size(even for my husband which has a big appetite). I tried the general chicken with rice which was amazing but their Beef Chow Fun is really soft and delicious! We will definitely be coming more often. A new favorite!

We were traveling through town and wanted to introduce our son to Chinese food for the first time. Found this on Google, and so glad we decided to stop. Ben was so patient and helpful about making recommendations and then telling us when we’d ordered just the right amount of food for our family. Everything was delicious. We tried dim sum, Mongolian beef, the eggplant (!!), and General chicken, and combo chow mein.

We just moved to Davis and this little gem of a restaurant is in walking distance from our home. We had dinner here last night for the first time, and it's a definite repeat! We were greeted by the friendly and welcoming staff, and they took our order promptly. Our food came hot and fresh, and the flavors are divine! The hot and sour soup has a perfect balanced blend, the potstickers were very tasty, the chicken chow mein and Mongolian beef a perfect combination, and the fresh and warm sesame balls melted in your mouth. My grandfather was half Chinese/half Hawaiian and made the best Chinese food, so I have a high bar of expectations with any Chinese restaurant, and Tasty Gourmet is definitely up there. Can't wait to go back!
