Shah's Halal Food

$15 for a plate and a drink. Open until later. Can't go wrong. Have more sauces and condiments than when they were a truck, like a olive dip etc. When they first opened they weren't as good but now they're solid again. I think they're the place in the plaza that gives you the most bang for your buck. Friendly and efficient workers.

I used to go to UC Davis over a decade ago and Shah’s Halal by the silo was thee spot for lunch or dinner. Chicken over rice or lamb and chicken over rice with all of the sauces were my favorite. I happened to be in Davis and saw that they reconstructed the University Mall and Shah’s now has a brick and mortar! It’s not too big inside but they also have more options too. I got the chicken over rice with everything. I think they had more stuff to add like veggies, beans, and hummus, I don’t remember that in the past. They also have chicken wings and French fries and gyros. Nice and spicy like how I remember it. There is one bathroom and no water station, only about 4 tables inside so when we came with a large group we pretty much took up the entire place. They were busy for a Saturday and t

The food was really delicious! I was a bit worried there might be cilantro inside since I can’t eat that, but luckily there wasn’t any. I also tried their lamb and I was afraid it might have a strong smell, but it was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing together with the beef. The owner was super friendly and even let me sample the lamb first before I ordered, which was very thoughtful. The restaurant is clean and well kept, and the service was excellent. I’ll definitely be coming back!

One of the best halal restaurants I’ve ever been to! The food is incredibly delicious and fresh — especially their chicken over rice , and the combo gyro, which is absolutely amazing. The menu is huge and full of tasty options, so there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The service is excellent — the staff are polite, friendly, and always smiling. My order came out quickly, and everything was served hot and flavorful. The restaurant is also very clean with a calm, comfortable atmosphere — perfect for families or friends.
