Tasties Soul Food Restaurant

I just posted on my FB page last week about how good your shrimp Alfredo is and how it was my first time eating there. Then today I called at 8pm and asked if you were still open in until 10pm. A man said yes. I drove from Philly just to get that Alfredo and when I'm I got there at 9pm, they sd they were about to close and I can order fried food ONLY. I was so pissed, I just left. Took me everything not to cuss them out due to wasting my gas for nothing. You lost a loyal customer and a potential catering in the near future...smh!

Food is not terrible but I ordered ribs, Mac and cheese, greens and an extra side of yams. Had NO idea I was gettin' beef short ribs. (Which I haven't had nor wanted since my mom was living). Portions are nice but the food is OK. Mac and cheese wasn't cheesy, greens a lil salty and yams could be less dry. Plus the BIG girl taking orders kept rubbing her nose and she did it RIGHT before handing me the bag of food. So if she got the Rona, I got it now too. 😩 Food is passible but the tackiness of the staff, no napkins and no fork prompts me to not return. The garlic margarine roll is delicious tho. Oh and make sure u have ur pressure pills!!!!! So... Since it seems that ONLY Hispanics work there I called in an order and asked in THEIR LANGUAGE not to fry the fish hard (as they usually do) ,

The food here is so good. I enjoyed this place so much I went here 2 nights in a row. The first night I got the fish platter with yams & Mac. The 2nd night I got the wings with greens & rice & gravy. The girl at the counter was very inviting also. The only bad part about this place is it isn’t anywhere to park. Other than that this place is the go to for some good soul food & I will definitely be back.

I ordered the turkey wing platter. These were not fresh and may have been a day or two old. Turkey wings are white meat! Once I picked all the brown meat off the bone, the inside had me throw the whole tray away. The string beans taste like too much vinegar, smh it was a NO for me.

I ordered 6 Thai Wings, macaroni and cheese, and cabbage. It also came with a roll. It was listed as $16.50 i paid $18 something. Staff reported a price change but the menu was not updated. The cabbage lacked flavor but the wings were good and the macaroni and cheese ok. The bread... was very buttery.
