Taste Of Istanbul

This is a great food truck located in a Chevron station that serves Turkish and Latin fusion food. Friendly staff. Fast and reasonably priced. And it’s halal. Can’t go wrong with the Istanbul burger. It has chicken shawerma on top of a beef patty.

A very respectable attempt for bringing Turkey to Marietta. I was confused that it was a food truck in a parking lot. But they seem to be open at this location every day. The Chicken Döner was on a revolving holder just like in Turkey. It is seasoned very well and for a $13 sandwich, the amount was reasonable. I think where it missed top rank for me was that the sandwich itself was a bit dry. I love the green sauce but it isn’t Turkish per se. I would have used mayonnaise and more of it as would be in Turkey. Also, it would help to either dip the wrap/bread in juice or use some pepper paste too. I will ask for extra onions next time. Will definitely come back. Their menu is very limited: They only make 3 Turkish sandwiches.

The shawarma wrap was absolutely delicious—flavorful and satisfying, though a bit on the spicy side. It’s a bonus that they’re open on Christmas Day, making it a delightful treat for the holiday. The customer service was excellent, and at $15.00, it was definitely worth it!

It’s a food truck— if you want fast food while pumping gas (chevron) this is the place to go if you are near by.. Good taste. I ordered shawarma wrap. Was a big wrap, enough for two ppl if you don’t eat much. The empanada are pricy per unit!

The food and service here are both incredible. There are both Venezuelan and Turkish options, so you can enjoy some tequeños or empanadas before your shawarma. The owner is very friendly and really wants to make sure you enjoy your experience. He explained different options and recommended the shawarma pita (over the wrap). I’m a big fan of this type of Turkish food and this absolutely did not disappoint. If you like spicy food, ask for some peppers chopped up and put in the food; they’re very flavorful. They even have different Venezuelan and Turkish drink options in addition to the normal sodas.
