I always come for soup. Albondigas or caldo de Pollo. Both are served in big bowls with cilantro, onions and lime on the side. As well as mexican rice and fresh made tortillas. Definitely hits the spot!!

I recently dined at taqueria las pencas and had an exceptional experience! I ordered the filete de pescado and chile relleno, both of which were absolutely fantastic. The filete de pescado was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful with a delightful blend of spices. The chile relleno was equally impressive, with a perfect balance of heat and savory goodness. The ambiance of the restaurant adds to the overall dining experience. The patio area is particularly noteworthy—it’s spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Great meat, smokey, spicy, large portion but some bits of really burnt asada. The salsas chipotle spicy red, sour and smokey spicy green, and creamy sweet spicy avocado salsa are very flavorful and awesome. Creamy smooth mix of avocado and sour cream. Love that's there's jalapeños and cilantro relish. The chips were not so good ended up soggy after 10 minutes of pickup.

The food is good. Service too but is not a full service to your table. So, if you expect enjoy a coffee and refilled at your table is not going to happen. Because you order at front , pay and pick up your food at the front as well. Food is delicious and the portions are descent for the price. They sell chapulines too. Note: no parkin.
