Taqueria La Calpena

I go to the outside Mexican food places whenever I come to this flea market. Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience at this place which was located inside. I got three different types of tacos and a side of rice and beans. The very first taco I bit into was the fried pork. I immediately had to spit it out because I got a MOUTHFUL of very thick Fat. It was so unpleasant . I just kept pulling more and more fat out of my mouth. No meat in sight. The lamb barbacoa tacos were not the best either. The steak taco I brought was actually very delicious. Now, for the absolutely disgusting part: the rice and beans. As soon as I put the dish in my mouth I knew something tasted (and smelled) “off”. The beans were COLD, the rice was lukewarm and the beans and cheese they put on top also TASTE

Delicious tacos for cheap. Very authentic. They have a wide variety of meats. Meat is very tender and tasty. I got the beef tongue and the brisket. Good amount of meat for the price. The one negative is it’s hard to find outdoor seating to eat them. Would definitely return.

If I can give a 0, I’d give a 0, fix yall attitude, not my fault yall messed my order up, and charged me extra, just wanted my change back, treated me like I own yall something, trash attitude im sorry, just edited this post, opened my food found a piece of hair👎

I loved my tacos, the sauces were spicy but tasted great, and the service was very fast ❤️

These guys are incredible we eat the Birria ramen and Birria tacos and are such incredible delicacies I haven’t had better Mexican in my life
