Tanque Verde Cantina

A great spot for some tacos and drinks on the lake. The tacos are reasonably priced and are great. We stopped in a couple times while we were in the Nisswa area. The walleye tacos were my personal favorite. If you're going by boat, their docks can get very rocky during windy days, so something to keep in mind. Definitely a good spot to stop for some quick lunch if you're in the area and feeling like tacos.

I may have just gotten the wrong item. That said, the waitress said it was one of the most popular items on the menu. I had the carne asada burrito with chicken. It tasted almost exactly like a taco bell burrito. Granted, I like taco bell. But it was not worth $15. It came with a side of chips, which I think were Tostitos. My wife got the southwest salad, and it was fairly plain. Disappointed with the food quality considering the price. I suggest having rice & beans as a side to the food, rather than plain chips. It also could be good to have a nice jalepeno ranch or something paired with the burrito. Atmosphere was really pretty, right next to the beach with a great view of Gull Lake. Service was reasonably good.

Came out to listen to some music at the Cantina on Gull Lake. Parking is a little shaky. But, once you are out of the car? You are confronted with a lake side view of Gull Lake. It's an outdoor venue, service is friendly and good. Short menu of great food. A nice place, with great atmosphere, to relax on a lazy afternoon and listen to the music of Seth Doud! Only in northern Minnesota!

The atmosphere is fun but the food is not great. We had Birria tacos and they were very dry. There was no Birria sauce or cheese, just meat in a dry tortilla. The salsa and chips were also mediocre. I think it's over priced for what you get.

Great place to have a bite to eat! The calamari is a little small (serving size) but really tasty. Highly recommend on a beautiful day in the area
