Tacos El Gordo

Tacos El Gordo is always a great stop. The place has a cool vibe with giant Mexican Lotería cards on the walls. Looks way different from when I first came as a little kid. The staff is incredibly friendly. What really stood out about the staff was seeing them offer to walk a handicapped couple out while carrying their to-go food. Small gesture, but it says a lot. The food is delicious, portions are generous for the price. What keeps me coming back every time is the guacamole sauce. Very addictive!

06/06/2025 I came here out of curiosity and saw their breakfast burrito and it looked good. I ordered the same thing and I was not disappointed. It was as good as it looked and it didn't cost much. For $13 it was a great deal. It has Chorizo, cheese, steak, egg, pico de gallo, onions, and they also have avocado salsa. I will come back and try their other stuff and I recommend this place for someone who loves to eat Mexican foods.

This place had the best tacos in the valley a few years ago . Not any more sad to see how a really good place can go down hill. I asked for a taco de asada and a cóctel de camarones with extra lime and the cashier said I “could grab some from the salad bar”. The place was dirty and there was no customer service. The sad part is that there were only 3 customers already seated and me. There was a cashier and 2 cooks and still the place looked trashed and the food was awful. Please save your money, time and a bad moment. Go to “del taco”.

They got the dollar tacos poppin at 12:00 on Tuesdays!! They also hook you up with a whole bean tostada as complement towards your order that was also lovely!! Everything taste great thier Agua frescas are superb! The service is on point!! Highly recommended!!

I always try to give this place a chance but their carne asada is always so fatty and hard. I have ordered tacos and a burrito de asada, and I always bite into pieces of all fat instead of meat. It’s a good place because it’s local but they really need better quality meat.
