Taco Tpke (Turnpike)

I had seen this place a while ago and cannot wait to stop by and try it out. The quesadilla was absolutely the best. It was full of cheese and meat to the brim!!! The tacos were as well. We ordered thief and chicken tacos. The beef tacos had a seasoned tortilla shell, which was delicious. The quesadilla also had a seasoned tortilla shell. The restaurant was very cute and quaint! The dining area was quite small. Everything was absolutely delicious and the staff was very kind and friendly.

Taco TPKE is a spotless, professional restaurant in Sloatsburg just steps from the bus stop. Prices are fair and clearly posted (3-taco combo $15; singles $5.50; shrimp +$3), and I appreciate that prices include tax/card with a small cash discount. The food tastes home-cooked—in a good way: seasoned but not oversalted, and nothing came off as loaded with additives. What I ate: Chicken Tinga was juicy and well-spiced; Birria was rich and satisfying. Camaron adobado had good flavor, though the guac/cheese were heavy—ask for “light toppings” if you want the shrimp to shine. Al pastor was the clear miss: it ate like shredded/boiled pork with ungrilled pineapple, no crispy sear, and none of the caramelized, smoky notes you expect from pastor. Wow! Wow! Wow! I am huge foodie and I know good Hispanic food but wow! This place is serving by far the best Mexican food outside of NYC I’ve ever had! Please keep this place alive and thriving! Between the modern but comforting atmosphere, and all the meat, vegetables, and sauces being so fresh, I’ll never go to chipotle willingly again! Great prices and tons of flavor filled comfort food that was done in minutes! Amazing job Taco Tpke and I’ll definitely be back with friends and family! Thank you 🙏

Food was delicious! My Family and I tried the Tacos, bowl and burrito, and they were all great, loved the Birria Burrito, packed with delicious flavor in the rice beans and not too greasy in the Birria, and big enough for 2 people! If you’re craving street style Mexican, and you’re in the area Taco Tpke is a great choice!

I ordered the three taco hookup. Two fish and one pork. The fish tacos with coleslaw topping were great. Very flavorful and light. The pork was also very good, more filling than the fish, though I think next time I would ask for coleslaw on the pork taco. The service was friendly and very fast.
