More like Taco Gor-No. The ‘salsa’ was a cup of watery tabasco sauce and most of the experience was cafe-style/self-serve, which would have been fine if I didn’t need to ask the staff to restock said self-serve items. Corn tortillas were stale and rubbery, toppings were a chaotic sprawl of mostly cilantro. We’re all for supporting local eateries but some spots need to tighten up their game and taco gordo fits that bill (which ours was too high for counter service.) If you want authentic and flavorful tacos, try El Cortijo or Casa Grande. For a head scratching dining experience with decent guacamole and a convenient location, taco gordo will suffice.

Good tacos in Burlington. Not tiny little trendy tacos. No place to park as most areas around but off you can find a spot or walk and take out it’s worth it.

Yesterday was our second time at Taco Gordo, and once again, the tacos were so good! The margaritas were delicious too. We arrived pretty late, close to closing time, but the staff were all so friendly and welcoming, we never felt rushed

The el pastor tacos are my favorite! Very casual unpretentious atmosphere. Great help and service, inexpensive very decent food. Guacamole is small portion but tasty. Precisely measured drinks, 🤣

We were visiting from California. My husband got Carne Asada taco with beans & rice and I got the Tinga with side of rice. I also got a margarita. We found the food just so so. I think we were hoping for more authentic freshly grilled but it wasn't. We both found the rice pretty dry. They do have a good selection of hot sauce. We suggest adding pico de gallo. We did have to wait at least an hour to get on on a Fri night. The atmosphere is busy and bar like. You can tell this is a go to place for college age adults given the area. It would be nice if they had those outdoor heaters on cold nights for those having to wait outside for a table to come available as there really is no space to wait inside. We ate at the bar because after waiting so long, we just wanted to eat. The margarita was
