Had an absolute wonderful experience. Owner Chef Michael has been serving extraordinary meals for over 40 years in this “1925 train car” restaurant. Portion sizes were perfect. Presentation was “out of this world”!
Had a delightful and delicious meal from the upscale restaurant for Valentine's Day this year. We moved to Keene in the fall and I wanted to try somewhere different for my wife and I to explore. I searched Brattleboro and found this gem. Nestled in what looks like an old train car at times, there is limited seating but you can see all the food being made to order. The food selection and taste were on point. The plating was exquisite and beautiful. Sorry, no photos as it was dim.
One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Everything was exquisite. We went for New Year's Eve--which can be risky, but they're clearly pros. The place was a little dining car with just 8 tables...and you felt like you stepped back in time, from the lighting to the music. The service was perfect--quietly attentive without being intrusive. Food rundown--crab cake delicate and flavorful; halibut melted in the mouth; scallops cooked to perfect texture and flavor (and I don't like scallops). Creme Brule not too custardy and had the crack. We loved being able to watch the chefs. I agree about the Michelin Star. Such a special place.
Let me just say, you can even eat the flowers. This place brings a certain kind of quality to the food that many places are lacking these days. Perfect for date nights, anniversaries or cooking enthusiast. Seating is very limited, experience and flavor are worth the price.
WONDERFUL small space that serves excellent high quality meals that are prepared expertly. A truly excellent dining experience with great wine pairings as well. We wish more restaurants would follow this model.
