Sylvester's MS Style BBQ

It’s plenty of barbecue places around Mississippi. If I had to choose it’ll still be Sylvester’s, I’ve tried several spots and I can tell you the difference. You want some good food with no sauce already added this id the place to go. Get sauce in the side and really taste the food. It’s a difference. Been going here for several years now. Sausage dog, ribs, wings sides.. it don’t matter what you get, the food is good.. See for yourself..

Best ribs in Mississippi. Pick up at least once a month and have never had a bad experience. Ribs are always meaty, tender and smoked to perfection. Generous sides and priced well. Super friendly folks.

Had the opportunity to visit Sylvesters while on vacation. The ribs were seasoned so well that I didnt want bbq sauce. I've never experienced anything so good. Only wish they would ship to California.

I ordered the rib plate with baked beans and mac and cheese and the rib tip plate with baked beans and fries. The ribs and rib tips were so tender!! Both plates came with a slice of buttered and toasted light bread. The baked beans were sweet, but I personally like them that way. The mac and cheese was good. The fries weren't my favorite but they aren't bad. I'm just not a fan of thick fries. Overall, everything was good. I got there at about 10:56a and there was already 1 person standing at the door waiting and 3 more sitting in their cars. I left at 11:08a and the line was to the door. So go early.

It was just ok. There's no flavor to the meat and BBQ sauce taste like water was added to maybe sweet baby Ray's or something cheap. I had the rib tips and they didn't taste good. They was just ok. Nothing special to brag about.
