Sweet Onion Restaurant

Food was outstanding! So delicious! We started off with the pomegranate Old Fashioned and Dirty Martini which were amazing! For appetizers we had the fried onions and pimento cheese and both were great. The French onion soup was perfect. Our main dishes were the ribeye with lobster and mashed potatoes and asparagus, the short rib, mushroom pasta and meatloaf. All of them were so good. Can't recommend Sweet Onion enough.

Another gem in Waynesville NC! Food was great. The grilled shrimp I had on my salad was probably the best I’ve had. I should have taken a picture of it. We ate here twice in five days because it was so good!!! One bad thing though, they needed to turn the heat up. Everyone had to keep their coats on. We were there for New Year’s Eve dinner.

Absolutely stellar mid-tier restaurant! Food was delicious as were the drinks and all came out in a timely manner despite the restaurant being fully packed with a line out the door. We got the French onion soup (best French onion we have purchased in the states) as well as a garden salad and the chicken parmigiana sandwich w/fries. Sandwich was remarkably good for sounding like a total gimmick and the salad was fresh with plenty of flavor. Will be coming many times in the future!

AMAZING!! We loved the food, service, and atmosphere, Krista was an amazing server thank you so much!! Blackened Catfish Sandwich (8.3/10, delish) Garden salad w Chicken (9/10, loved candied walnuts and a perfect amount of everything!! Exactly what i wanted) Open faced pot roast sandwich (8.5/10, perfectly cooked beef, tender, lean meat, loved horse radish, couldve just been one slice of bread) Blackened shrimp carbonara (8/10, amazing sauce, perfect shrimp, a little oily but delish)

Read the reviews and was A little apprehensive so we decided it would be the last place we ate before heading back home from our vacation.... And so the story begins. Everything was fantastic. The managers in a busy time got us to a table pretty quick. It was at the bar but you know we wanted it it so we sat down. Our waitress is the bartender of course and let me tell you Saige was our waitress and she was awesome. Kept my drinks full. Checked up on us periodically. We didn't have to wait on her for anything. She did a fantastic job.. the brussel sprouts 😋 were yummy the bread the butter perfect.. she ordered the shrimp Florentine and I ordered the trout fillet crusted...
