We had an incredible experience at Suwannee Social. Chef Chef Matt and Jhon were absolutely phenomenal and made the entire night memorable. Our table ordered a variety of dishes so we could try as much as possible, and every single plate was outstanding. The carne asada was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor, and the pulpo was tender with an amazing char. The green smash burger was easily one of the best burgers we’ve had, and the chef special showed off some serious talent in the kitchen. The gyoza potstickers were crisp and flavorful, the toro tuna tacos were fresh and melt-in-your-mouth good, and the sliders were the perfect finishing bite. My wife and I went for an early dinner, which might have been the reason that I chose to give the “atmosphere” only 4 stars. More on that in a bit. Fist off, I love the vibe of this place. It reminds me of some of the great restaurants I’ve enjoyed while traveling but it’s right in my backyard in Suwanee. It was decorated for both National Women’s Day and St. Patrick’s. Over the top decorations but I thought it was great. We ordered three of the small plates: gyoza potstickers, carne asada, and pesto flatbread. All food was really good. The potstickers were fried instead of steamed, which was a surprise since I don’t just assume fried if no info is given. They were still really good just slightly different than expected. One of the best damn meals and tapas experiences I have ever had. Ever. Such a cool, hip, inviting atmosphere. Chef Matt Duggan has knocked the food out of the park. I seriously do not know how its possible to execute so many different dishes from so many different cultures so exquisitely. The sliders are the best i have ever had anywhere. The melon salad to start, Korean pull apart bread, carne asada & chimichurri rojas, quesa birria ravioli, Gyoza potstickers, the sliders and finally ginger creme brulee!!! Our daughter’s sweet 16 was absolutely perfect because of BloomRoom/Suwanee Social. Moises and his team went out of their way to make her evening so special. The atmosphere was breathtaking and the food even better. The best tapas I’ve ever had and I’ve had tapas in Spain. It’s not easy to please teens but each one was not only loving the food they were requesting 2nd and 3rds. The hit of the night was the cheese curds. The drinks were loved by the teens and adults alike. It’s awesome that they had such a wide variety of virgin drinks for the teens. I could go on and on about how awesome this place is. The Suwanee Social is a great place to gather with friends and enjoy excellent food and beverages. Our group went on a Friday night and grabbed an open table at the bar, which made it easy to settle in and start ordering. We tried the grilled octopus and crispy artichokes, and both were absolutely amazing. The live music was fantastic, with an array of music that kept the atmosphere fun without taking over the room. Between the food, the drinks, and the music, it felt like the kind of spot you can stay for a while and enjoy the night. I definitely want to come back and try the entire menu.
