Sushi Tomo South Side

My first time eating here since Little Tokyo left, and I had my guard up 😅 but I must admit that I enjoyed EVERYTHING! From the service, to the food, whisky🥰 & the new atmosphere. My waitress, the manager & other staff were so kind and attentive!! Which is so important to me 💞 I will DEFINITELY be a returning customer. -Lala 💋 (Food review on TikTok: lala.miyagi)

We got take out, BUT I had waited inside for them to complete my order, as I arrived a bit early. It was a Saturday night and the place was PACKED. I enjoyed their Ube Espresso Martini while I waited and let me tell you, THE BEST espresso martini I’ve ever had!! So so yummy! The meals I ordered were tasty and fresh. I highly recommend this place. We were in Southside.

Pretty good sushi. We got the platter for one person, shrimp tempura roll and rainbow roll to share. Great service as well.

We were so excited to see a new sushi place coming to southside, it’s one thing this neighborhood has been missing! Beautiful upgrades and renovations from Little Tokyo, the space is gorgeous and inviting. We were seated at the bar with a warm reception and super fast service. Salmon nigiri is my love language and I’m so happy this place gets it!! Also the sushi chef gave us seared fatty salmon and it was truly chefs kiss! Everything was so good and I love their extended menu too… now we can get ramen in southside?! Don’t sleep on Sushi Tomo!! Oh also Tuesday $5 margaritas & $5 hand rolls?? LFG

Nice place, great service, good selection and great happy hour options (half off bottle of wine!). We got two different ramens, a sashimi boat and spicy tuna roll. The sushi tasted refrigerated- none of it was the freshest I’ve ever had and hate to say it but I’ve eaten better sushi at a Whole Foods. The ramen was forgettable, I’m not sure if they make their own broths or not. Noodles Al dente, a tasty egg, 2 small pieces of pork belly were good but that’s it - run of the mill broth is the overriding problem. I’m not saying I would never go back, but defintely not my first choice.
