Sushi Tokoro the handroll bar

went for solo dinner on a monday night and it was a fantastic experience sitting at the counter. i ordered the premium set of 5 handrolls, which came with an appetizer as well. each roll felt so thoughtfully crafted, and the ingredients were so fresh. the rolls were delicious. it’s hard to pick a favorite roll, but i especially loved the salmon, toro, and scallop rolls. my server and the chef were so kind and attentive - the chef even made an extra spicy salmon roll on the house for me. definitely very excited to bring friends and revisit next time i’m in town!

Visited Sushiro for the second time last night, and it’s hands down the best quality sushi I’ve had in New York (and I’ve lived here for 11 years). I never thought I’d say this, but there was almost too much fish on my handroll — I mean that in the best way possible! The portions are generous, and the flavor and texture are unmatched! There are good sushi places out there, but this is the best. Must orders: - Sashimi, seaweed appetizer or miso soup - My top rolls: Shrimp, Snow Crab, Toro, Spicy Salmon, Kampachi If it’s your first visit, I recommend ordering the Premium or the Classic, although the Sushiro Omakase - Chef’s Choice is my favorite. my all time favorite sushi bar. Everything from the service to the food is chefs kiss. the portions are huge and the quality of the fish is so fresh. Unfortunately, I found this place so late in life but I never miss a chance to go back. I moved out of state just half a year after finding this spot so I can't go back as much as I would like but I ALWAYS make a reservation whenever I'm back in the city and I always bring new friends. I love this place and if you're finding it for the first time, I welcome you to the best spot on earth. <3

Absolutely delicious sushi restaurant! Each roll was unique and tasted amazing - the service is also stellar. My gluten allergy was easily accommodated and I could enjoy each course without anything being left out - it was truly a wonderful lunch. Sitting at the bar was fun and watching each roll be crafted by the chefs was so fun - everything was extremely fresh and perfectly portioned! My friends and I left very full and happy - Highly recommend :)

Fantastic high-quality dining. We split the chef special and thoroughly enjoyed each piece. Reservation ahead of time, booth/chair seat seating was slightly tight. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The Mochi was to die for. Service was absolutely on top of it! I’ve never had my water refilled so many times. Great date location.
