This was my second omakase experience, and it was absolutely wonderful. The fish was exceptionally fresh, and every bite was perfect. The chef was warm, kind, and engaging, making the experience not only delicious but also genuinely happy and memorable.
We had the 17 course option for a very special birthday celebration. We were blown away by the generous hospitality and attentiveness of every single staff member. We have been to many omakase spots in the city of all different prices, but sushi saikou was unbeatable in how smooth the service and experience was, and I would not hesitate booking for any kind of special occasion. The food was incredible, with my favorite being the kinmedai and their hamachi & pear appetizer dish. They do have a lot more options after your meal for add ons, which was a lovely addition to our course. They are heavy on using seasonal fish & ingredients, and our chef took the time to explain all the ingredients and where it was sourced for each course. Absolutely cannot wait to return and thank you all for the
This was my first time trying omakase in New York, and I went alone — but the experience couldn’t have been better. From the beginning, the staff made sure to ask about any allergies or dietary restrictions, which I really appreciated. The atmosphere was calm and elegant, and the service was incredibly attentive and kind without being overbearing. Every dish was beautifully presented and thoughtfully explained. I felt completely taken care of the whole time. Also, I was honestly surprised by how reasonably priced the wine and sake were — definitely not what I expected in NYC. Highly recommend, especially if you're looking for a welcoming and high-quality omakase experience.
Great service from the moment we walked in. We booked this place last minute and are so glad it worked out that way. It was our anniversary dinner, and the dishes were excellent. They offer unique pieces that are different from other omakase experiences we’ve had in the city. We enjoyed every bite. The chef even treated us to an extra dish to celebrate our anniversary, which was such a thoughtful touch. We were stuck between two sake options, and our server kindly brought us an extra glass so we could try the one we didn’t choose. It was such a generous and memorable gesture. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend this spot to everyone!
Love omakase and have tried many in East Village area and downtown. Sushi Saiko was truly one of the best I've been to, from an all around perspective. Super amazing service, warmth, great ambiance and atmosphere. And naturally fresh and truly delicious sushi and amazing flavor combinations. This is currently now my #1 omakase place and can't wait to come back 🍣❤️❤️
