Surfside Inn Chatham

Our stay was fantastic! Excellent location. Comfy and clean accommodations. The team of Laura, Vicky and Eva delivered fantastic service and made us fell at home. Thank you Surf Side for making this another wonderful experience in this gorgeous sea side town. LT and JT.

Surfside is down the road from some really high-end, crazy expensive hotels. It doesnt have flowing fountains,valet parking or million dollar landscaping out front. What it has is decent/clean rooms, an incredible location, great staff, and easy parking at a reasonable price. It was perfect for our family. Our only complaint is that the heater would go at loud, short butsts to heat the room. It kept me up a little bit (I am a light sleeper), but didnt bother anyone else. Overall it was a great place and I would highly recommend it for anyone who doesnt require 4 or 5 star ammenities. On Wednesdays they open the Lighthouse for a few hours to the public and it is a very short walk. There will be a lline to get in. The beach is a minute away and we liked it a lot. Overall nice place, convenient to the Main Street. The outside needs a complete overhaul, seemingly institutional vibe. Nice feature of providing beach gear but path to ocean beach is narrow and got the feeling that the neighbors did not appreciate all the foot traffic due to the hotel on their street. What we felt was odd, was the over whelming feeling that Big Brother was watching due to the excessive cameras on the property. Also the signs stating that the pay-as-you go in the common area was a bit threatening! Also, there were signs stating that you could not bring food back to your room due to a health code? Did not get a good night sleep due to the guests above us, making noise and talking until 3:00am, very annoying and ruined our stay, both nights!!!

The Surfside Inn is a wonderful spot for a beach getaway, only 50 yards away from the beach and the Atlantic Ocean and also just a 12 minute walk from bars, restaurants and shopping in downtown Chatham. Free parking is onsite and all of us guests were provided with beach chairs, trolleys and ice chests that we could use on our stay, as well as a guest fridge for keeping food and drinks cold.||The staff was beyond helpful and we’re going to make a weekend at the Surfside Inn an annual tradition!

Paid $360 for just one night. We entered the area we were staying in and there was a heavy odor of a plug in type of thing. The building was very noisy at all times. There was no hair conditioner -only moisturizing shampoo. The room was very basic and decorated cheaply. Upon be ready to dry my hair, it was discovered that there was no blow dryer in the room. Needed to walk to the attached building (main lobby) and was told that it was in a "guest closet" which was not marked. Shouldn't there have been a note in the bathroom (so you knew to get it before you took your shower)? Didn't feel like I got any value for $360 per night.
