Surf Rider Restaurant

I went in with 3 of my friends, Friday around 4:30. There was hardly any people there and we were able to sit outside. The service was very good and the food was on point! Fun fact, I love their broccoli and holandaise sauce. I got 1 lbs shrimp and it was fresh!

Wonderful seafood restaurant with nice staff and excellent views of the marina. We dined here during a family weekend. We wanted to go somewhere that offered decent affordable prices, good food and a great atmosphere. We arrived to a full restaurant. The weather was very nice outside so we decided to eat outdoors on the deck facing the marina. It was getting close to sunset so that was perfect. Our waitress Maddie was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu and she offered some favorites. 2 of us ordered the broiled sampler, which was good except the shrimp were overcooked; Our waitress took note and the manager Mary came out and checked on us and she sincerely apologized and assured us that she understood and she had the kitchen prepare a fresh batch for us. The food was perfect! some of the best I have ever had! the crab was incredible and their crab soup flavors were rich in texture and consistency. Also an amazing view from our seats and the waitress was awesome and kept our drinks filled and made sure to keep our table clean of plates that were finished. In my opinion the service is worth the prices you pay there. it was very clean as well. and welcoming.

I have always enjoyed this restaurant, great wait staff, great food and you can't beat it for waterfront dining!

The surf Rider in Hampton is slowly going down. The menu prices are going up and the quality of the food is going down. We had the she-crab soup which used to be delicious now it is mostly cream and very thick and not flavorful. The Caesar salad was good but how can you mess up a Caesar salad. It was fresh and delicious. The crab cake was more expensive also and had more filler than crab. This also used to be delicious and was not that flavorful. The shrimp was good as always. And the mashed potatoes we ordered were cold. I was very disappointed. The server was very nice but not that attentive due to having so many tables at once. So I can't fault her for that. But she did not check on us a lot and I wanted butter for my hush puppy and didn't get it until it was cold. So the overall experi
