Surcheros - Midland, GA

First time eating there a few weeks ago was great, which is why I decided to go back for a second time today. I placed a pick up order via the app. The order on the printed receipt is my correct order, however, what I received when I opened the bag was not correct at all. First off, no salsa or queso was included with the order. I ordered a black bean taco on a soft corn tortilla with the Surcheros sauce on the side. Instead, I got a flour tortilla with corn instead of black beans and about seven tablespoons of Surcheros sauce. It was inedible and went straight into the trash. The only plus is they gave a good portion of chips (but again, no salsa or queso was included). FYI: This was a pick up order around 3 pm: there were four employees and I was the only customer at the time.

The food is so good. I prefer this over Barberitos, Moe’s and Chipotle any day. The staff is fun and friendly. The chips actually have flavor to them and I could eat them by themselves. The toppings are always fresh. Highly recommend the Surchero’s sauce. You can’t order for this location on the app, but you can on the website.

I miss Moe's. The staff isn't too friendly, didnt see alot smiles or much enthusiasm. They're VERY stingy with the portions. At Moes they always gave a decent size portion, not anything special, but it wasnt skimpy. I got a chicken burrito and there was barely any food on it. The person making it when take a scoop and then shake off most of the food before she put it in the burrito. The food itself is not bad. Everything looks and taste pretty fresh, and although it didnt fill me up, the burrito was tasty. The prices are a bit much too. If you wanna skimp on the food, then skimp on the prices too. The small scoop of the protein is a negative for me. The guacamole is delicious. The person starting off with the order is the person who sets the tone for the whole visit and often the young lady is very indifferent. She never smiles. The food is good though. I think they are going through a learning curve for this restaurant because once you have a full understanding of the menu they can move a lot quicker and work as a team in sync

Perhaps our family dined on a “one off day” (Sat ~2:30PM). No line- perhaps the front line was short staffed, but 2/3 front workers were focused on to-go orders. Somehow, it took roughly 15 mins from arrival to payment counter. At which point, all of our orders were cold upon consumption. We were very excited to try the establishment (convenience in lieu of Columbus) and to our surprise, were disappointed. The portions were small, food bland and dry. Given these combining factors, it was overpriced and will not be returning. No issues with the staff, they were pleasant. Surely better than Moe’s but definitely not Chipotle (larger portions, flavorful foods, expeditious service).
