This place is a little hard to find… It’s attached to the back of the cookout fast food restaurant. We visited Saturday around 10 AM. The place was absolutely hopping! So we were very confident that the food would be delicious, and it was! I wasn’t super crazy about the pancakes. They were a little dry, but the eggs were cooked perfectly, the sausage was delicious and the biscuits were amazing. All the ladies were very friendly and the service was quick and pleasant.
This is spectacular food. I always get for breakfast poached eggs with bacon and grits. A lot of places can't do poached eggs very well. Sunrise does them perfectly. It's always a friendly breakfast group there.
Great little diner for a quick solid breakfast. They are the only place open early. Brisket and eggs were very good. Coffee was decent. The toast appears to be done on the griddle and is does have a slight griddle taste. Otherwise this really was a solid, quick, reasonably priced breakfast that hit the spot before we started the next leg of our road trip.
Delicious friendly quick service. Coffee is hot and rich. Portions are generous and excellent quality. We had the California omelette with apples and a biscuit and 2 egg platter with bacon , apples and TWO biscuits 😂
A true, old timey country restaurant for breakfast. If you're a city slicker like me, maybe used to the concrete life of NY, maybe used to the agriculture or sandy oceans of CA, you won't be used to southern hospitality. This place is drippin with southern hospitality and damn good southern cookin. I had their Hungry Man's Trash Can, which is an omelet with everything, including the tastiest bacon south of the Maxon Dixon line. East of the Mississipp. $16. The little lady had a big $10 breakfast. Crazy low prices, but keep it here please for the next time I have the pleasure of a trip to Lexington. The breakfast is outstanding. Since the bill was so low, we added some baked apples and some grits with a little extra pocket change. As sure as the sun shines, this will be the only place I e
