Stonegate: An Elegant Guesthouse

Another incredible stay at the Stonegate! Derek and Margaret are terrific hosts and the house is beautifully restored. The food is delicious and the rooms are well appointed. But my favorite part is coffee or tea in the front porch watching the sun rise.||This is my second visit and I will be back again!

Derek and Margaret Hutton have done it right with Stonegate! It's not only elegant, but also comfortable and relaxing. They set the tone for cordial and friendly interactions with the other guests and yet also accommodated our privacy at the same time. A perfect spot walkable to town, they will guide you to the right spots in Lexington. Can't wait to return.

Margaret and Derek are amazing hosts. Their home is enchanting and so inviting. My husband usually doesn't like bed and breakfast accommodations, but he was impressed with Stonegate. They really think of EVERYTHING that would make your visit memorable and superb! Highly recommended

Wow, where do I start? The super friendly warm greeting from Margaret when I walked in? Or maybe the mind blowing house and the cleanliness and hospitality from both Derek & Margaret? Maybe the food..wow the breakfast that Margaret cooked up would have made a Michelin chef be jealous...and let's not forget Derek's famous biscuits!! Homemade from scratch made with AMAZINGNESS!! There are SOOO many things to talk about from the rainfall shower to the amazing DEEP tub and more..but one thing is for certain, Margaret & Derek have the best place, the most pure hospitality and jaw dropping setup with the most delicious breakfast! Thank you both for everything!!!
