House Mountain Inn

The setting of this venue alone is five stars. Carrie Irvine is attentive, professional, and really goes above and beyond. Book the venue. Hike the trail down by the house mountain inn as well.

1st time visit and was very impressed with this hidden get-away. Beautiful views and peaceful setting. Place is meticulously maintained. Meals were wonderful. Jeanette was awesome and a super hostess. Will definitely like to return soon!

We chose the House Mountain Inn for our honeymoon. It was very clean and quiet during our mid week stay. Wine and cheese hour was delightful and exceeded my expectations (also noting that I’m not a wine enthusiast). Breakfast was delicious. We chose to explore downtown Lexington for dinner options each night instead of dining at the Inn’s restaurant. The highlight of the trip was definitely the outdoor hot tub on a private deck. It was clean and easy to use. My only complaint/ suggestion would be more activity options.. but maybe that’s the point of a relaxing trip to a secluded inn.

My wife and I joined five other couples and spent a few days at the Inn. The location was great as well as the the service and the food. The weather keep us indoors which we enjoyed our friends that we were with. I highly recommend if you looking for a place to get away from the every day routine. We will be back to experience the different seasons. Thank you to everyone that took care of us all.

We live locally and went for the dinner 3 course meal. Our waitress was sullen, reached across my wife rather than move around to serve and remove dishes, asked 3 of our party of 4 if they were done with their salad when all 3 plates were clearly in the middle of eating. Gratuity of 20% was part of the price so she had no incentive to provide anything but to deposit and retrieve dishes. The Mahi-Mahi that I and our wife's friend had were dry and either over cooked our left out in a refrigerator and dried out. The asparagus, in the middle of winter were completely out of season and over cooked in a broiler oven. All the food was right out of a Sysco Systems truck with no attempt to personalize or enhance it what so ever. When we arrived the first thing we all noticed was the inordinate numb
