Great food, extensive menu, and fantastic coffee! So glad there's a new breakfast/lunch cafe in town. The dumpling bowl was so tasty, as was the spicy chicken wrap. The strawberry chocolate crepe was bigger than anticipated, not that I'm complaining. Love the outdoors area!

Sunny Cafe is such a wonderful addition to Downtown Exeter! Located just behind Forest + Ash, it offers both indoor and outdoor seating. It’s the perfect spot whether you’re grabbing something to go or staying awhile. The dumplings are excellent with plenty of tasty topping choices, and the Caramel Frappe was delicious—not too strong on the coffee, but nicely balanced. Don’t miss the pastries—the brown butter chocolate chip cookie was amazing! With so many options on the menu, from drinks to snacks to full meals, there’s truly something for everyone. Highly recommend stopping in. Welcome to Exeter, Sunny Cafe!

Ordered a Christmas Tree Latte on the app. Walked in and it was ready for puck up. Space looked clean, but small. Staff were nice. I was greeted with a smile and sent off with “have a great day”. Latte was delicious.

Ordered the caramelized onion and mushroom dumpling bowl and a honey cake - both were absolutely incredible! The portions are so generous – a large bowl is enough food to split a lunch with someone or spread out over a few meals. The atmosphere is fantastic – peaceful, with natural wood and lots of window light. you could easily bring a laptop and work or meet with a friend. The café outside is adorable. Staff is super friendly. Highly, highly recommend – it’s hard not to try everything!

After hearing great things about this cafe, I decided to give it a try. The atmosphere is inviting, the staff are friendly, and the menu has excellent variety for both breakfast and lunch. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to expectations. The November seasonal drink was overwhelmingly milky with little flavor complexity. While the blueberry scone was good, the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich was disappointing..it had a disproportionately small sausage patty and tasted more like a reheated frozen breakfast sandwich than something freshly made. At nearly $25, I expected better execution to match the cafe’s reputation and price point. The welcoming environment is there, but the kitchen needs to elevate the food quality to match.
