Sunderland Public Library

Very peaceful environment! I frequent this library often, and use their available printing services and attend their community activities. The staff are all pleasant. And if you need a quiet place to do homework, this is a great spot!

My first step after moving into Sunderland was to get a library card. How delighted I was when I was greeted warmly at the front desk by the director, Katherine, and her team of helpers. The library is well sized for the town, and offers a wide variety of media and topics, including a regularly updated 'current events' style area for poignant media. I especially enjoyed their 'library of things' offering a rental-style section for certain media tools and devices. The library appears child and disabled friendly, with easy wheelchair access, neurodivergent evening hours, and a quiet and peaceful kids area. I am especially excited for their various community events, including movie nights, book readings / book club, animal encounters, etc. Thank you for making me feel welcome in my new home

OMG this place is above and beyond wonderful! I'm "older" and tech deprived. Am looking for a new post retirement job however. Had a nice offer but employer with offices in Boston required lots of preliminary computer work. Only have my phone on which I'm savvy in emails and texts and taking pictures but needed to do uploading, printing, etc., etc., etc. I am from Hadley and went to my own town library at 10am only to discover they don't open until 2pm. Frustrated I went to the next closest in Sunderland. Note on their public computers said that blocks of time for those that required assistance could be booked. Sounded like me so I went to the Librarian who insisted on helping me right now. She was patient and miraculous. Walked me through everything. I printed many pages notin

This library has had a positive presence for me for near 30 years with its quaint old building and the way it serves the community.

The most helpful and engaging staff I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. It's a joy to walk through those doors and see the smiling faces behind the desk!! Thank you!!
