Sunday’s Pie Truck

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon after seeing the truck was finally back open! We were only about 30 minutes prior to close so many of the traditional flavors were sold out. We opted for apple raspberry and it did not disappoint. While on the sweeter side, the pie was fresh and the raspberry absolutely stood out. The most important part, the crust, was buttery flaky and crisp. It did not disappoint! We typically buy our pies from Bishop’s and this was on par or better. We loved hearing the new owners story. All pies are baked fresh on site in the truck - so impressive! She also offers assorted other baked goods such as cookies, donuts, and muffins. Full pie was $21, cash or card. Go get you some treats!!!! We visited while on vacation and purchased a peach raspberry pie, a peach raspberry bread (coffee cake sort of?), and a bag of apple cider donuts. We ate part of the pie immediately, as it was fresh and warm. The crust was perfect. the filling was just enough sweet and at the same time a little bit tart. It had a perfect gel consistency mixed with apple pieces that were perfectly cooked - still with a bit of a crisp bite and not too mushy. It was a perfect pie, and the leftovers (repackaged) traveled back to Houston and reheated nicely. The peach raspberry bread traveled well and was enjoyed over the next few days. The apple crumb pie just came out of the oven when we arrived. Only half of the pie made it home! So delicious!

The apple pie with the crumb topping was a 10/10, just absolute top tier. Huge hit at Thanksgiving. It was still warm when I picked it up. Prices are reasonable too. I'm never buying a supermarket pie again. Staff were great as well: I walked in like a fool 30 minutes before close on Thanksgiving Wednesday without having placed an order, and they still hooked me up.

Stopped by on July 4th and bought a multi berry pie….( they had a specific name for it but I don’t remember it ). It was warm out of the oven! So so so delicious, the crust was outstanding. The owner and her son were so nice, it was a pleasure to support a great local small biz. Loved it!
