Sugar's Crab Shack

My family and I were visiting from out of town a received a good tip from a friend who lives locally. They did not lie! You can't miss on the portions and quality of food here! You might have to wait a little longer than most places to get your food, but it is worth the wait. Just finishing it up on the third day.

Everyone is always friendly and the food is delicious. Be prepared to wait because it's always a line. I went last week and the prices have gone way up. I probably won't be visiting as often because of that.

The new prices are SHOCKING! The food for the most part is consistently great tasting. Mine was a little too salty the last time, but still really good. I usually get Just Fish which had been $12.35, the new price is $19.99, with tax $20.99!!! A $7.64 price increase for whiting is a DIABOLICAL increase for a carryout spot! Unfortunately Sugars is officially out of carryout, wait outside in the weather range for me. I wish the owners and staff a propserous safe 2026.

First time here, won't be the last. Huge portions for a reasonable price. The catfish was excellent, with a spicy breading. Very friendly service as well. The seating is all outdoors, but there are umbrellas at every table, so it's not a problem unless it's pouring.

We were not sure what to expect...but, boy, we were so glad to have found this place. Went on a beautiful sunny afternoon after a morning full of drizzle. We were moving to Richmond and had spent all morning unloading a uhaul. We had to wait a line of folks all wanting the same thing, seafood. We placed our order and found sunny table where we waited, and waited, anticipated, and waited. It was a bit of a wait, so be ready for that, but so so worth it. Fish was great, okra was great, shrimp was great! It was all pretty good. The okra...man loved the flavor of the breading. This is not a quick order, order, on your way kinda place. You go hear to struggle for what to order off the menu, for the anticipation of waiting for your food, for sitting and enjoying the company of the frien
