Sugar & Spice Bake Shoppe

My daughter just picked up 2 very special birthday cakes from Sugar and Spice in Salem NH. Lucas is turning 5 and is a huge fan of Lightning McQueen and Emily is turning 3 and loves Stitch. These cakes are AMAZING!! If you ever need a “Specialty Cake” or any cake, look no further than Sugar and Spice! They always do such a great job….and oh, by the way, they are also Delicious!!

I have ordered cakes from Sugar and Spice Bake Shop many times for family parties, which is why I chose them for my first custom order. Unfortunately, this experience with owner Brian was unexpectedly dismissive and disappointing. After speaking with Brian about a custom cake, I was told there would be an upcharge for fondant animals, which I happily agreed to. I was asked to send a reference photo. Two days later, I was told the cake was “too nice” to execute. In an effort to simplify things, I requested a pink chocolate mousse cake with just a couple of drawn farm animals — a much more basic design. Brian responded that anything with chocolate mousse must be finished a specific way with “absolutely no substitutions,” and ultimately stated he would have to pass because he did not believ

Super dark inside I thought it was closed. $44 for a bunch of freshly made desert… which is not bad tbh. I got the crème brûlée but it just tasted off.. bitter and like coffee? A strong after taste.

Clean, authentic! I purchased a mix of assorted pieces of cake! They're all yummy! And the coconut one is the bomb! It's my daughter's birthday and she was picking everything! Service was great! Would definitely go again! I didn't even realize it was so close to where I am on a daily basis!

I love this Bakery! Service is outstanding and the cakes are super cute and DELICIOUS! Our fam faves are the Strawberry shortcake, Tiramisu and Pineapple mousse. We have tried all others throughout the years for many birthdays and the are all amazing. I love that they are airy, moist and not overly sweet, just perfection. 🍰❤️
