Stonington Free Library

What a beautiful and historic library! And the staff were so welcoming to put-of-Townes who just wanted to look around. Well worth a visit. If I lived in Stonington, I know that I would spend a whole lot of time in this gorgeous space.

Really loved the children’s section in this library! I took my two kids there and didn’t have enough time to get to everything there was! A whole corner full of dolls, cars, building blocks, play kitchen, and trains. Two coloring tables with blank coloring pages and bins of crayons. Another table with bins of trains, mini dollhouses and furniture, cars, and a few other random toys. I was so happy with all there was for my kids to do! I was also pleased that the whole bottom floor is dedicated to kids and teens, so I didn’t feel like I had to stop them from running around because they had their own space. Thank you for a great children’s section, we will be back to play!

Small, quaint library with great architecture and friendly staff.

I am very pleased with this library, everyone working was extremely friendly and helpful!! Not only that, this library offers items and services that I never thought they would. Along with the wide variety of books, there are also new Nintendo Switch games to rent, a variety of movies, hot spot devices, chrome books and discounts on museums and parks in CT. There is access to all of this and more, all you need is a free library card! I also have a garden and by the front door they had a section with tons of vegetable and flower seeds for free! Overall I am very impressed with this library and look forward to using all of the amazing services they provide!

Fabulous historic architecture. The original structure is worth a visit in itself.
