Stone House

The Stonehouse in Nevada City was phenomenal to say the least. Sol, James and Kaitlyn rocked it tonight and really treated our tribe like family. 10/10 would recommend! I think we got nearly one of everything and we were all pleasantly surprised with the service and all the yummy food. So good! We didnt have self control over some of the dishes so we didnt get pictures of everything but here is what we did try. The foccacia bread with buratta, cauliflower with Tahini sauce, fresh oysters, Mediterranean plate, side of fries, side of saffron rice, two of their pizzas, the grass fed lamb, a burger, chicken marsala and one of each of the desserts with the favorite being the chocolate mousse. Spectacular service, even better food!

The brightest, freshest flavors I’ve ever experienced! Each bite was better than the one before and we tried a lot of their menu. The star of the show was the Ube Pesto, and we had a star for entertainment too, with an acoustic set in the tavern area. Our server rocked, and the food came out quickly. We can’t wait to bring family to check out this amazing spot!

My husband son and I went to the Victorian Christmas event and were looking forward to a nice dinner afterward. If I could give a zero rating I would. The service was very slow and the server was not familiar with anything on the menu! After inquiring about cocktail choices she had to go ask if they served a certain brand of gin and bourbon. The drinks finally came and were ok. We waiting for a long while before she came for our order and then did not have any answers to our questions about how the cauliflower was prepared…she didn’t know, so ordered anyway. Come to find out they were out of the cauliflower dish, out of gnocchi dish and after ordering the ribeye we were informed it was the last one available! The ribeye steak was supposed to be 16 oz and looked thin and about half that siz

My husband and I tried the Stone House for the first time as a birthday adventure for me and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. We went during happy hour- amazing deals. Every drink and dish were so unique and enjoyable. We were excited to see rare mushroom dishes- a morel and asparagus small plate and a lion’s mane steak entree. Both totally blew us away. We also tried the chicken mole, white pizza, arancini, and strawberry tart. All of it was impeccable. We also enjoyed the two bartending women. They were excellent. Highly, highly recommend.

Me and my girlfriend came into town and had dinner here had lots of options for her as she is plant based so that was nice. they had a large selection of teas which was awesome to choose from as they also had mocktails. When we got there there was live music it was a great atmosphere. if you are looking to have nice herbal teas before you eat a nice meal and listen to some live tunes.
