Petra Modern Mediterranean

I've been to this restaurant twice in the last week and it doesn't disappoint. I've ordered gyros and the make your own bowls. Both dishes were very fresh and really flavorful. The gyro had the best pita I've ever had in my life and the bowl came with a lot of options. The ambiance is very nice yet casual service. The price point is about 20$ an entree and service is quick. I very much enjoyed my experience here and will be back. It's a very easy location in Nevada city and mediteranean is my all time favorite!

This is a great restaurant if you have a group with different tastes or just want to customize ingredients. Everything was super fresh. The portions were generous and consistent with the pricing. The inside seating is nice enough, but they also have patio seating out back that is delightful. We spent nearly two hours there chatting and enjoying the beautiful weather. We didn't even get to desert which also looked good.

Fantastic spot!! Love the concept- big choose your own bowl overflowing with local veggies and they have local meat and spanikopita as well!! A dream.

Great local taste! Petra is a hip spot highlighting ingredients from local farms. I got the build-your-own-bowl and baklava for dessert. I'd love to come back and try different bowl combinations and get the dark chocolate tahini cookie

Petra is such a fantastic addition to the Nevada City culinary world! Their dishes are enormous. Friends, I can eat. But I always leave with a box of fresh delicious food for later. The menu is deceptively simple. There are so many possible combinations that can be made to build a delicious and unique bowl. The atmosphere is delightful. The dining room is new, beautiful, clean and spacious. I am so glad to have another great option for a filling, inspired locally-sourced, organic meal in our little town. It’s worth also mentioning the interesting selection of culinary inspired gifts that are available too! I absolutely love this place.
