Food was great here. Ordered the pulled pork bento and the beef stew bento. Pulled pork was just right but beef stew was a little salty Also got the red bean mochi pastry. Omg, so good but too sweet for health reasons. I got the wontons. They were stuffed and decent in size. Probably the least favorite. They were good but just came back from eating at ding tai fung so my taste buds a bit spoiled.
Now this was a good lunch spot I can get down with if I was working or simply in the area! This small, family run business seems to make everything from scratch and they have an entire system to deliver fresh dumplings and sides. I saw a lot of people coming in to grab lunch before heading back to their day jobs, so this was a good sign. I went with two of my usual orders at dumpling shops: - Six Vegan Potstickers, all on a disposable plate, was full of homemade deliciousness. The filling was fantastic and the fact that each one didn't break apart was a win in itself. - Scallion Pancake looked and felt like a prioshky. It was certainly denser than ones I'm used to and was a decent side to my dumplings. This item took a bit longer to come out so I had to go check to make sure it was sti
These guys were a hidden gem. We literally walked past while trying to find another restaurant that had closed down. Gyoza were awesome, we had the vegan ones, and the bento box were amazing, so filling, delicious and great price! Service was great too.
I ordered the vegan dumplings in soup and pumpkin scallion side. The dumplings are a perfect symphony of taste, flavor, texture. The wrapper itself has flavor! Best dumplings I've had and I'm not usually impressed by vegetable dumplings. These are not plain and are full of flavor. Not an afterthought type of vegan option. It would be nice to have a second vegan dumpling option with tofu or alt protein. The soup is a perfect light seaweed broth not doing too much and not overly salty. Complimentary to the dumplings! The pumpkin is delicious, slightly on the sweet side, a little overcooked/mushy but not in a bad way. Some seating inside for dine-in.
The food was very good. I enjoyed everything. The dumplings were perfectly cooked. I also had a pork bao and red bean mochi cake. Service was good with nice staff. All around it was a nice little hole in the wall type of place. They kind of place you find by accident and just keep coming to.
