edit: I went in today and saw the same barista, although i don’t know her full name her name on her name tag was “K” so beware of any curly hair baristas with the letter k. original: today i went in and ordered a pink drink with light cold foam. The guy who was at drive thru was nice about it but the girl who was working with him was being snarky saying what’s the point of ordering with light cold foam. As someone who is also a barista at a different starbucks I know exactly why I order with light cold foam (as i want half an inch or so of foam, not over an inch like some baristas do) so for her to catch an attitude is crazy, like come say it to my face. Anyways this is the same lady who every single time i visited over the summer refused to shake my refreshers and once again as a barista

Today in Oak Forest, IL, I witnessed something that shouldn’t be happening in 2025, especially if I'm using this platform to speak on it. A Black woman, clearly either homeless or in a mental health crisis, came into the local #Starbucks asking for a cup of ice water and to use the restroom. She was denied by the staff—even after local teens tried to offer money on her behalf. Their excuse? “Corporate policy.” Funny how that “policy” was enforced when it’s a Black woman that they deemed undesirable asking for help, but not when it’s someone else...especially as I have witnessed other locations allowing free water and the use of restrooms with no question asked. It wasn’t until I stepped in that they gave her the water. But why did it take that? Why did it even have to come to that? Comp

Today I had a very disappointing experience at the drive-thru. I ordered a Venti Peppermint White Hot Chocolate and Madeleines. When I reached the window, I was handed part of my order and then given a grande hot mint citrus tea instead of my drink. I let the barista know that the drink was not my order. In response she insisted i ordered that said ill have them make another, she slammed the drive-thru window shut and stormed away. I briefly honked to get someone’s attention so the incorrect drink wouldn’t need to be remade. A different employee came to the window with another tea, at which point I explained the situation and asked him to check the last order. The lady who greeted me at the front was very nice, but I still don't know why they were having a store meeting before the store itself closed for the night. The guy at the drive thru could've had a better attitude too.

They get simple coffee orders wrong so often it almost feels like it's on purpose. You ask for 1 pump of sugar and they give you so much sugar you literally can't drink it. Some people ask for little to no sugar because they have insulin resistance. $8 in the trash. Thanks
