La Isla Michoacana

We are new to the area and this was only our second time visiting, but the owner made us feel so welcomed right away. He was incredibly friendly and kind, which really stood out to us. We ordered papitas caseras, dorilocos, and an elote — everything was delicious, but the dorilocos were seriously to die for. We didn’t want our papitas prepared there since we were saving them for later, and he was thoughtful enough to give us a lime to take with us. Little gestures like that make such a difference. Amazing service, great food, and a place that truly makes you feel welcome. We’ll definitely be back.

A little gem in Oak Forest amazing service and perfectly curated menu selections. Had a great time visiting and would highly recommend trying them out.

great service, fast delicious food

I work at the autoshop next door, we are a family owned business. My family sends me to pick up from this Michoacana especially in the summer when the weather is hot. I love this place, I was always attended by a male, who I believe is the only. This summer there is a new female worker who unfortunately has not given me the best experience. The first time this summer she attended me my aunt sent me for a cup a fruit for her and I specifically asked for no tajin because my aunt cannot have anything spicy and the young lady put some on and when I told her I couldn’t take it like that she did not give me a new cup of fruit but instead tried to clean the tajin off but still left some. I thought it was an honest mistake and did not make a fuss about it but now my second time going my family ask
