Starbucks Coffee Company

I visited the Starbucks inside Kroger today to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday, and the experience was incredibly frustrating. Despite it being her actual birthday, we were forced to pay full price for her drink. The staff informed us that because she hadn't had the app for two months, the system wouldn't allow a birthday reward. While I understand policies exist, the lack of flexibility was disappointing. In the past, showing an ID was sufficient to celebrate a customer's birthday. To be told 'no' on her special day over a technicality—despite her having the app downloaded—is poor customer service. I don’t care about the cost of the drink; it’s the principle of how Starbucks treats its customers. I expected better from such a large brand.

There's normally only one or two baristas there, so give plenty of time when ordering ahead.

Probably the worst Starbucks I’ve ever had… caramel macchiato was straight milk.

I paid for my caramel ribbon crunch today at the Kroger location in Jasper at 1:10 pm. The girl took my Oder and money and didn’t not tell me you don’t have the main ingredient for the drink. At all. So I get my frappe with no caramel crunch pieces and have to ask her why. After I paid. After she made it. She never was planning on telling me at all. How can y’all charge so much for a drink and screw up that bad? Try communicating with the customer that you are out of something before you charge them for it.

Drinks are in no way, shape, or form made to recipe. I’m also a Starbucks barista, so I’m familiar with the recipes. I ordered an iced coffee with light ice and pumpkin cold foam on top and got less than half a cup of iced coffee with liquid pumpkin sweet cream dumped into the cup because the barista used way too much sweet cream in the foam blender. Never getting a drink here again.
