Spooner House

Spooner House was exceptional!!! My experience far exceeded my expectations. Jason and Denise were wonderful hosts and helpful in every way. This 18th century farmhouse is absolutely beautiful. My room was extremely clean, well furnished and so comfortable. After skiing all day I returned to a hot soak in a huge, claw bathtub and relaxed by the wood-burning fireplace, both in the privacy of my own room. The rate was very reasonable. This place is a great value and so much better than a cookie-cutter corporate hotel. I will be back!

Coming from Hawaii and staying at the Spooner House was more than I could ever imagine. Surrounded by the beautiful fall trees, and looking out to a field of corn and acres of land. It was breathtaking. The Spooner House has all the characteristics of a Vermont stay. Cozy, quiet, antique furnishings, and an incredible comfortable bed. Pinky the cat welcomed us. Jason and Denise, were wonderful host. The Spooner House is in the country and offers the peaceful quiet setting. It was relaxing, and it felt like home. Great Wifi, and just a short drive to where you need to be.

Huge perfectly clean room in a nice old house with original floors and features. Great and helpful host. Great value. Not too far from dartmouth. Perfect stay!

Everything was wonderful, from the outreach before we arrived to the moment we left. The property is beautiful, spacious and super clean and the value for the size of the space is unbeatable. You get half of the house with 2 rooms and a kitchen/den. Perfect for a family that wants to make meals, or friends that just want space. Absolutely nothing that I would change about this quaint experience. Just be aware that rooms and bathrooms are up a set of stairs, so not wheelchair accessible.

Another excellent stay! For a second week, I had a multi-night stay while a family member worked at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. I was able to work remotely with ease, and getting to the hospital was a very short commute. It's just really pleasant. Sitting on the porch, cooling down in your room with the ceiling fan and breeze off the meadow, walking down to the lake at the state park for a dip. It's awesome, and Jason and family are wonderful. I will certainly take my wife here again to follow up on Jason's tips, and probably yet again for some Nordic skiing this winter. Highly, highly, highly recommend.
