Such a wonderful new addition to the neighborhood. The atmosphere is nothing short of amazing. One of the owners, Lou, and his family were there, and they truly went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. Lou personally checked in with every table, often more than once, which made the experience feel incredibly personal. His wife designed the décor throughout the space, and it was absolutely gorgeous. From the moment you walk in, you feel like part of the family. The waitstaff were attentive, accommodating, and genuinely kind. We didn’t have a single bad bite everything was excellent. Lou and his daughter Alexa even sent over limoncello shots before we left, which was such a thoughtful touch. And the tiramisu? Hands down the best we’ve ever had. Personally, I would love to keep this place a secret because it’s just so good, but, because they only opened less than a month ago, I’m going to share a review to make sure they stick around! Fantastic food and service. Really everything we ordered was delicious and both the manager and the wait staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Probably my new favorite Italian restaurant in NYC. They have a few Roman specific items on the menu that you usually can’t find anywhere else (suppli for example). We ordered the suppli, the beef carpaccio topped with shaved black truffles (special of the night), amatriciana, gnocchi with beef ragu, and the veal milanese. Everything was perfect. I’m so glad I found this place. The service was attentive without being overbearing and the dishes were executed exactly as they should be. I hope they continue to maintain this level of quality and consistency.
