Twisters is easily the best ice cream spot around. Unlike big chain shops or sit-down places, Twisters has that classic charm of a walk-up window where the experience feels personal and genuine. You don’t go inside, you step up, place your order, and walk away with the kind of ice cream that makes your whole day better. But what really makes Twisters stand out isn’t just the ice cream (which is fantastic), it’s the people who serve it. Henry and Sophia are the reason I keep coming back time after time. Fantastic prices that can't be beat anywhere in Michigan, good portions, friendly employees, and diverse menu options; Spads is such a gem. I've driven an hour out of my way to get their soft serve or make it a point to stop by when I'm around the Chelsea area. My favorite item is the Elvis Sundae, and I never grow tired of it. Such a great place.

I stopped by for a quick bite of ice cream before the summer came to an end. I wasn’t expecting much from a soft-serve ice cream franchise but the staff — particularly Miles — changed my mind. I was just there standing in the rain, waiting to order my dole whip (flavour of the week was mango), when I was suddenly called up. The young lady working the front was very nice and sufficient, quickly getting my order before I stood off to the side. As I waited patiently for my dole whip, it was like a flash of light. I look in the back of the ice cream shop through the window- only to see a young man working so hard, fast and professionally. When he handed me my dole whip, I couldn’t help but to ask for his name (Miles). We chatted for a while and let me tell you this young man was spriteful! His

A favorite spot for a sweet treat when we are in Chelsea. Lots of variety in the menu and the kids like trying something new each time. Employees are always friendly and our order comes out quickly.

Great shakes. Owner seems really nice; we stopped by last year after they were closed for the season and he was cleaning up. Said he wished he could serve us but everything was already turned off and cleaned, but he gave us a bunch of coupons for free stuff when they reopened in the spring.
