Southwestern Community College

Been an art student for around a year and a half and Southwestern Community College is a good place to learn. The teachers care and try to help students do their best. The campus is clean and nice. Classes are not too big so you can get help when you need it. The staff is friendly and easy to talk to. It is a good school for people who want to save money and still get a good education. I would tell anyone thinking about college to try Southwestern. Many of yhe nearby stores have a lot of art supplies and also lots of pawn shops and electronics store which is perfect as I just got into pc building as I started here.

Love coming to the Cosmetology Dept. ! Very professional and the students are all learning so quickly from their teacher and head of Dept Randy McCall ! I do have a problem parking in the Cosmetology Parking spaces that are designated for Handicap parking only ! The students use these spaces with no Handicap parking signs , then go to classes! I have a Handicap sticker ! So today a student did move for me and said she was sorry for parking where she should not have parked ! I wish this could be controlled for handicap people trying to go to the Cosmetology Dept !

This place is wonderful! I got my GED here within 2 weeks. They are wonderful souls here. The GED ladies where so kind and pushed for greatness. It was a calm environment and I'll never forget them.

I can't say enough great things about Southwestern Community College. Beyond all the accolades of being a top 10 and #1 in the nations, which is well deserved. There are many people within the faculty that beyond the classroom display why they are such a great school. From the early college with Jackson Early College and Macon Early College to the Learning Assistance Centers to the Student Disability Services (which is phenomenal!), they all strive for excellence for the students.

I attended SCC and graduated in 2002 with my A.A. transfered to WCU and went on to obtain my Masters degree. It was one of my greatest educational experiences. The faculty and support staff were fantastic. Cecil Groves was the President at the time. This is a fantastic learning institution.
