Customer Reviews
I got the jalapeño cream cheese bacon burger with okra it was VERY GOOD. The biscuit and homemade apple butter was warm and very good also. I got the collard green cheese dip for an appetizer, and the dip itself was OK. The pita chips that come with it however were fantastic. The service was perfect. I’ll be back when I’m in town again. Only knock is the atmosphere. It’s just plain Jane. But the food way over shadows the atmosphere.
The hostess was wonderful, the decor was super quaint and charming, and our waitress was friendly and attentive. They bring homemade biscuits with apple butter to the table, and they were incredibly soft. The perfect consistency. We started with the fried green tomatoes, which had perfectly crispy breading but were a little light on flavor, probably something I’d skip next time. I ordered the shrimp and grits with collards and fried okra, and the collards were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. Everything was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The weekly mimosa special was great too! They even made my boyfriend biscuits and gravy after breakfast hours, which we really appreciated. Right in the heart of downtown Blue Ridge, making it a perfect stop while exploring. Highly recommend!
Our waitress Sandra was amazing. She was so friendly and attentive and made some great food recommendations. The fried green tomatoes and mozzarella bites were exceptional...that marinara was delicious! My husband and I shared a catfish and fried chicken plate and it was the best meal we had our entire week in Blue Ridge. The collard greens were my favorite!! I can't wait to visit again.
Finally we found the old school southern comfort food restaurant that's as good as it gets. You'll be happy you went here if you enjoy all the classics! The fried chicken and blackened local trout were our choices and they made us proud to be American again!!!
Home style cooking! We enjoyed this restaurant so much. The server was friendly and helpful. Biscuits and apple butter was amazing. Trout was fresh. Everything was absolutely delicious. The apple cider bundlt cake was divine. Don't miss Southern Charm! Worth the wait.
