South Jetty Crab Dock - Day Use (Oregon Dunes NRA)

Great drive down to the jetty from 101 for bird watching. Beach walking is full of treasures. Good wave action for surfers. Some fishing from the jetty. Always have a good day at the jetty.

Nice little area to look at the ocean and walk in the sand. When windy the sand blows a lot, which looks cool but can get in your eyes if you don’t have sunglasses. Nice little area!

It's okay. You can go crabbing, dig clam, and walk with a dog.

Beautiful place! Nice walk out the dock with outstanding views in every direction. Restrooms available were nice and clean.

OREGON DUNES NATIONAL RECREATION AREA SOUTH JETTY June 2025 Easy road to get here in our 21’ Class C RV with plenty of areas to park and explore. We went to the very end of the south jetty, where we found a small pier and a lot of Crabbers. On the beaches were Clam diggers. It was WINDY AF when we arrived in the late afternoon. The wind never really subsided until early a.m. hours. The mornings were very nice with little to no wind. Of course the wind was back before noon. There are pit toilet bathrooms all along at each pull out/parking lots, although no water. Signage says no camping or overnight parking, however also signs that show what permits and passes are allowed. A little confusing. We posted all of our park passes in the window, just in case. I personally saw many other vehicles
