Soup of the Day Cafe

Just stopped in for a little lunch for myself, and wow is this soup delicious!! I got a small broccoli cheddar, with a garlic knot. The soup is all freshly made and the knot was hot and buttery! Easily some of the best food I've had in Colchester (not that the options here are generally very good). The soup is creamy and flavorful- I could see lots of specks of butter on top-- a flavor bomb! I ate so fast I didn't get to take a picture, so you'll have to believe me. The woman behind the counter is very lovely, too! Super nice and friendly to me. She's running the entire place by herself and that's so impressive! It's clear she has a passion for soup. I came in about 30 minutes after opening, and everything was hot and ready to go. Seriously 💗 if you have not tried the soups you’re missing out!! Literally every single soup is like walking back in time with hearty goodness filled with homemade love like your grandma and mom use to make every single one is just as good as the other! I highly recommend them

We loved our soups from Soup of the Day! We got three different soups and they were all delicious! The soups were fresh and there was a great variety. A very quick, cozy and convenient meal option!

Never thought I would be this excited about having a soup spot in town, but Rose makes some of the best soups I have ever had. Reminds me of my grandmothers homemade soups. The flavors are amazing, and the soups are so hearty you will be filled up right up. If you haven't stopped by yet, you need to get down to this spot and try it. You will be glad you did!

What a hidden gem! I am so excited to have found this place, every soup I have tried so far is AMAZING, and I will definitely be trying them all! Highly recommend! (Now all I need is a loyalty card LOL)
