Colchester Donut and Cafe

I am so glad this is in Colchester... If you haven't been, I definitely recommend. I got the Cali Avocado wrap and it was SO good and exactly what I needed. My fiancé ordered a chicken gyro. It looked like it was sculpted to perfection (& I did steal a couple bites so I can confirm that it was). Can’t wait to come back for more!

Everyone is always so kind, and I’ve mostly had their amazing donuts, and egg and cheese sandwiches. Today we got their hummus and I am obsessed!!! Its presentation is beautiful even as take out, but its flavor is my all time favorite! My boyfriend got my extra bread because well thats the perfect thing to scoop this hummus up with. Yeah 15/10

I am so glad I found this place and I am very happy that it is so close to home. However, if it were an hour away, I would still drive to go there absolutely amazing food and the best people. I’m up early every single day and so are they so it works out great for me to get breakfast nice and early the way I like it! Mo is the man. Wicked awesome guy. I grew up in Rhode Island, and I am very partial to Rhode Island restaurants which I think are some of the best in the country. That being said this is my number one place for breakfast anywhere I haven’t been for lunch yet, but I would imagine everything they put out Will be phenomenal because they just care and you can tell.

This place is a relatively undiscovered Colchester gem. The food is always made fresh in an open kitchen that shines from cleanliness. The wraps, omelettes and sandwiches are tasty and very reasonably priced. The donuts are made daily onsite in small batches. When they are out, they are out; no day old Dunkin’ nonsense going on here. They also have Mediterranean food including hummus and salads. What makes this place great is the staff. Mo is the owner and greets everyone with a smile and a proper hello. Next time you’re in town check out Colchester Donut and Cafe for your breakfast and lunch needs.

Let me start this review by saying the owner here is the nicest, most welcoming person I have EVER met! The food is amazing. Literally the best hummus I have ever had. The gyro salad was amazing, my kids got the chicken shawarma. All delicious. After we paid, he gave us each a donut to try and I can 100% say it was the best donut I’ve had it my LIFE! I’ll be back some morning for warm donuts! Will definitely return.
